Eagle Nebula

The Eagle Nebula got its name from the birdlike form that tops this massive pillar of gas and dust. The nebula is located 7,000 light-years away. But there is more to this nebula, then the overall picture.

Inside the Eagle nebula tall pillars and round globules of dark dust and cold molecular gas remain where stars are still forming.

This next image is from the top part of the nebula were a giant star is heating the gases and creating a shock wave that is creating new born stars.

Hubble Makeover

Hubble recently had a make over and is all fixed up and working fine.
Here are some of the most recent images that good old faithful Hubble has given us.

Eta Carinae

Amazing Hubble Image of the blue star Eta Carinae.

V838 Monocerotis

This star 20,000 light years away called V838 Monocerotis in the constellation Monoceros experienced an outburst of sorts that has many theories baffling astrologers today.

Largest Galaxy Collision

Captured by the Hubble Telescope this is the largest galaxy to date. The Antennae galaxy is helping astronomers find out what will happen when the Milky Way Galaxy and the Andromeda Galaxy collide a few million years from know.

Debris From Jupiter Collision From Hubble

In this 38 sec. video it shows a rare collision of a meteor about three football fields hitting Jupiter.

The Hubble Deep Field

In 2003, the Hubble Space Telescope took the image of a millennium, an image that shows our place in the universe. Anyone who understands what this image represents, is forever changed by it. It show how small we really are and how big the universe really is.Amazing stuff!
